The BF109E was a German single seat fighter used during the WWII era. The 109E was the first large scale production for the 109. The 1,100 hp Daimler-Benz engines had replaced the older 650 hp Rolls-Royce engines. With a max speed of 400 mph, 38,000ft ceiling and a range of 450 miles, these fighters were a problem early for the British. BF109E was armed with 2 -13 mm machine guns and three 20 mm MG 151 cannons.
