On April 5th, 1974 the first F-4E�s landed at Andravida, Greece and assigned to the 117 Combat Wing. On March 31st, 1978 the 337 Day Intercept Squadron was decommissioned. On September 7th, 1978 it was re-established at 117CW but on the 11th was redeployed to the 110CW as the 337 All-Weather Squadron flying F-4E�s. Their primary mission was interception with a secondary of fighter-bomber. Aircraft 01511 was the first to receive the "Aegean Ghost" camouflage pattern. The F-4 was replaced by the F-16 and Mirage 2000.
